The Ukrainian Federation of Esports has announced a new president, entrepreneur and investor Maksym Krippa. He is now the head of the organization responsible for the strategic development of esports in Ukraine.

Krippa is a well-known figure in the esports world. He owns the iconic NAVI club, Maincast broadcast studio, and acquired GSC Game World, the developer of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game. His appointment came at a difficult time: the market, which was estimated to reach $20-30 million by 2022, is currently experiencing serious upheaval.

He confirmed this information in a commentary for Forbes Ukraine.

However, the businessman is convinced that Ukrainian esports has the potential for recovery and further growth. Thanks to Krippa’s previous investments, the industry has already received new resources and a boost. Now, as the head of the Federation, he intends to formulate a long-term strategy aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s position in the global esports community.

Whether the new leadership will be able to give the industry a second wind is a question that is being discussed by the entire professional community. However, given Krippa’s experience and ambitions, many have high hopes for this new stage.

Ukrainian Esports Federation forms new leadership: changes in the work of UESF

In the near future, the Ukrainian Federation of Esports is to officially announce a change in its top management. According to preliminary information, the key administrative role of the executive director may be taken by a specialist who was previously responsible for organizing tournaments at one of the leading Ukrainian clubs.

The updated management team will include experienced representatives from the most influential structures in the domestic esports industry. These are specialists who have previously managed operations, developed brands, trained teams, and created analytical content within leading organizations. Their experience covers both strategic planning and direct work with the community.

The view of Maksym Krippa

With the appointment of Maksym Krippa as President of the Ukrainian Federation of Esports, new strategic shifts in the organization’s work are expected. In particular, it is expected to strengthen international cooperation, attract global market players to the esports ecosystem, and create innovation hubs that will become platforms for talent and technology development. Given Krippa’s experience in technology, especially through Maincast, the focus on innovation may become crucial in the future course of UESF.

At the same time, Krippa emphasized that the Federation’s development strategy is still in the process of being formed. The issue of investment has not been finalized, but a number of areas have already been outlined that are planned to be implemented in the near future.

The key priorities include building a high-quality dialogue with the community, expanding the list of esports disciplines within the UESF’s activities, and actively promoting youth esports, in particular at the school and student levels. It is also planned to launch social programs that include the use of video games as a tool for adaptation and support of veterans. Krippa emphasized the need to create a transparent system of Ukrainian championships. It should ensure an objective selection of players for the national team that will represent the country in international competitions.
